My first blog post!

Hi friends!!! This post has been a long time coming. I have never been someone to want to write blog posts for my business, or for that matter... about anything. I feel that it is necessary for my little business now. I think it might even be fun to write about my sessions and share tips & tricks along the way.

So today, I'm starting my blog! This is the first blog post on my website so I figured I’d do a little introduction! I’m Crystal! I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, Cystic Fibrosis advocate, photography lover, and small business owner. I started my photography business in 2009 while I was pregnant with my daughter. Looking back I think what inspired me most was my family! My mammaw was always taking photos of her travels around the world and I like to think I enjoy having a camera in my hand because of her.

My husband gave me my first Nikon camera in 2007. That is when I started taking pictures of literally everything and I really fell in love with creating art through photos. Fast forward to today and you can find me photographing families, newborns, and even pets in the Hendersonville & Asheville NC area and beyond!

My husband and I welcomed our daughter into the world in February of 2010 and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. I have much less free time than before becoming a mother, but I also have completely reprioritized my life in the best way. Since becoming a mother and our daughter being diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was born, I have noticed a much deeper appreciation for documenting life, especially with photographs.

I plan to use this blog as a journal of sorts as well as a place to highlight sessions that I have done! I am excited that you are here and I hope you continue to follow along this blog!
